Can I buy Alton Towers Tickets from you?

No, we cannot sell them, sorry. It is best to buy tickets direct from Alton Towers website, they have some really good offers if you book more than 5 days in advance. You can also get 2 for 1 deals in Newspapers and on crisps and cereal packets.

What is your Postcode?

Although our post code is ST14 5HR, put in ST14 5HE. If you do end up going up towards Denstone College, turn round and come back past the Tavern pub on your left, bear left at the roundabout and Heywood Hall is opposite the Red Telephone Box on College Road. (It is a great book exchange if you fancy a read!)

How do I get to Alton Towers from you?

It is very simple just turn left out of the drive, turn left again past the Denstone Hall Farm shop, then left at the roundabout and follow the road to Alton, then follow signs to Alton Towers. The journey takes about 10 minutes.

Alton Towers is in a very rural location, and there are many beautiful and interesting sights to see in Staffordshire. Why not take advantage of our great offers for longer stays? Is smoking permitted in the suites:

In a short word NO! it is against the law to smoke in the suites and corridors and stairs. The fire alarm will be triggered if you do smoke inside as it is super sensitive. We also reserve the right to fine you £80.00 for deep cleaning.

Do you cater for wheelchairs?

We have some suites on the ground floor which will accommodate wheelchairs, please call us for more details.

Is there parking on site?

 Yes, there is space for one car per suite, if you are thinking of bringing another car we will do our best to accommodate you, please let us know before you arrive. Otherwise there is street parking.

What time can we arrive at Heywood Hall?

You can arrive anytime between 5pm and 8.30pm. If you require a different check in time, please let us know so we can make other arrangements, or arrange a self-check in.

What time is check out at Heywood Hall?

Check out is at 10 am

How do I book the hot tub and is it private?

The hot tub can be booked using a timetable put up nearby. The slots are 45 minutes per suite between 5 pm and 10pm. You then have the time to yourselves.

What do I do on check out?
  • Please bag up your rubbish and leave it by the bin,
  • make sure all the dishes are in the washer and it is left washing, if you are in a hurry    or put the clean crocks back in the cupboards, pots and pans to be washed up by hand.
  • Strip the sheets off the beds and fold them, leave the towels in the bathroom.
  • Lastly please put the key through the letter box in the front door, and when you do we would love to say good bye to you!
Do you cater for babies and young children?

Yes, they are very welcome, we have cots and high chairs, but they need to be booked in advance.

Is JCB Visitor centre open at weekends?

Sadly not, it is open Monday to Friday the tours are pre-bookable for ages 15 years and over. Please visit JCB website for more details.

Can I walk to JCB lake from Heywood Hall?

Yes, it is a pleasant walk about 10 minutes to the lake and another 30 to 40 minutes around the lake, great for pushchairs. In the afternoons, there is often an ice cream van on site!!

What shops are nearby?  Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café is just across the main road from Heywood Hall, it is open every day from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm (Sundays 10.am to 4pm). They have a meat, poultry and deli counter, serve a variety of items for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a great fruit and veg stand.

What eateries are nearby?

The Tavern pub serving really tasty food lunch and evenings except Sunday and Monday.

The Denstone Farm shop & café serves a selection of homemade cakes, locally sourced lunch dishes and afternoon tea.

In the suites there are some menus from local takeaway restaurants which will deliver to Heywood Hall.

Do I have to pay a deposit when I book with you?

Yes, we take 50% of the total amount of the reservation when you book and the remainder on the day of arrival. Please note you get the best deals when you book direct on our own website www.heywoodhall.co.uk
